Electrolyte for Horses A preparation for horses that stabilizes the water-electrolyte balance of the body. Especially recommended after intense exertion, during hot weather, and in stressful situations. It replenishes electrolytes and provides an easily absorbable source of energy. The vitamins and minerals contained in the preparation help to replenish deficiencies caused by the horse’s sweating. The product should also be used to support physiological digestive functions, in case of potential digestive disorders (diarrhoea), during such disorders, and during the recovery period after experiencing them.

INGREDIENTS

dextrose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, propylene glycol.

FEED ADDITIVES (in 1 kg)

(flavouring substances) mixture of flavouring substances 2,000 mg; (vitamins) vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin B12; (preservatives) sodium diacetate, 1a330 citric acid; (emulsifiers) glycerol polyethylene glycol ricinoleate.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE

Administer the preparation mixed with feed or dissolved in water. Horses: For increased demand, a dose of 100 ml should be given directly in feed or dissolved in 5 litres of water. For daily use, a dose of 50 ml should be given directly in feed or dissolved in 5 litres of water. The animal should have constant access to fresh drinking water. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or extending the duration of use.

Active substances

Sodium

A key electrolyte that helps maintain the waterelectrolyte balance of the body. It is the most osmotically active component of interstitial fluid and is the main cation involved in regulating hydration in the body.

Magnesium

It supports muscle and nervous system health and plays a role in energy metabolism. Magnesium helps maintain normal muscle function and can alleviate muscle cramps. It is essential for the proper functioning of the sodium-potassium pump in cells, which is crucial for regulating the water-electrolyte balance of the body. It also exhibits strong calming effects, making animals more peaceful and aiding quicker recovery.

Potassium

Essential for the proper functioning of muscles and the nervous system. Potassium helps maintain electrolyte balance and supports heart and gastrointestinal health.

Citric acid

Facilitates better transport of magnesium, potassium and sodium ions within the body and participates in metabolic processes. Additionally, by forming chelates with heavy metal ions that negatively affect nervous system function, it captures them and allows for their faster elimination from the body. Citric acid acts as a natural preservative and also supports the absorption and assimilation of nutrients.

Glucose

A source of readily available energy that supports recovery and endurance during physical exertion. Glucose helps maintain proper blood sugar levels, which is important for sustaining energy and condition in horses. It helps reduce energy deficits, while the apple flavour enhances taste, promoting better water intake.
